So we were at the mall yesterday and Ty got SOOO excited when he saw Santa. I didn't think that he'd get all worked up like that! So of course there is a line waiting to see him. I took Ty over there and stood in line for like 30 min or so before it was finally our turn. And the whole time in line, he kept grabbing me, jumping up and down and saying "I'M SOOO EXCITED!" It was so cute. So we finally get up there, Ty sits on Santa's lap and proceeds to tell him that he wants...1) a tractor that drives with pedals and a backhoe 2) Guitar Hero 3) Monster Jam Trucks. What 3 year old wants Guitar Hero?! We didn't have real video games til we were like 10! Anyways, we wanted to get a pic with Santa, no big deal right? Well the camera decided to "break" and we sat there for like 20 minutes having a conversation with Santa. Ty was so chill, just hanging out, talking and telling Santa how good he has been all year. We finally got our pic and on our way we went. This pic looks fake, but up close Ty's eyes are amazingly blue! Can't wait for Christmas so I can watch Ty open his presents and find out all the things that Santa has left him!

Our New House!

I wanted to post a pic of our new house. We almost didn't get this house, but I am so very thankful that we did. I think that its absolutely adorable and the neighborhood ROCKS! All the neighbors are soo nice and I found a preschool/daycare 2 streets over and Ty loves her!!! He didn't want to leave when we very first met her. I couldn't have asked for a better place to live while trying to make the transition up here.

Redneck Roots

Ok, so I was so inspired by Lori's blog about her and Cassie's carseat rig-job in the old brown van, that I decided that I had to post something about my redneck roots as well. So my dad was nice enough to let us use his truck and trailer to help us move. I of course was wanting to use my moms horse trailer that is all enclosed and super nice, but my dad, being the voice of reason that he is, decided that his brown trailer would be better since its bigger. I agreed, knowing how much crap we had to move and on the ONE condition that he power wash all the cow poop out of it.. My parents roll up in my dads super nice truck (that I luv to drive!) and this super sexy rusted out trailer. I felt about as close to a redneck as I have in a long time! My dad is soooo very proud of this trailer too. Of course its one of those things that he bought at some auction for like $10 or something and he loves it. We packed that thing as much as we could, twice and somehow got all of our crap to the new house. I cannot tell you how many looks we got driving this thing around! Everyone was staring at it...either wondering a) is that thing gonna fall apart or b) where can I get one just like it!
So for those friends of mine that don't know just how redneck I really am, now you do. =)

Ty Does his OWN Stunts

We found a park in South Jordan to let Ty play for a little bit...since he was cooped up in the car with us looking for a freaking house.

SUPERSTAR!

Moving to SLC!!!

OK, so its been forever since I have posted anything on this blog. I am horrible at this! Anyways, our cute little family is moving to the snow. Ty and I took this picture while Mike was talking to a realtor Herriman about some homes. Mike got a job at US Bank and they want him to start on December 1. That is only 2 weeks away. I haven't packed a single thing and we have to move in 2 weeks...YIKES! We spent all weekend up north trying to find a house to live in. In case anyone is wondering, that sucks! I hate looking for homes to rent. We have a couple in mind and we will find out more tomorrow (11-17-08). The house we want is in Herriman, but if we don't get it, then we will live in Riverton.

Tysen turns 3!

Tysen "Mosmund" turned 3 on March 31 and he had such a good birthday! We had a few friends over and Grandma Kathy and Aunt Kristen from "Chicken-Cow" (Ty's version of Chicago) were here too. He got some books, games, clothes, cars and a workbench with working tools for his birthday. I guess being an only child really does pay off!
One of the highlights of the night was when Ty was hitting his baseballs....Mike was videotaping him and got blasted right in the chest with a baseball! It was totally something you would see on America's Funniest Home videos or something. Everyone was laughing histerically...except dad. =)

Family Pictures

We had our family pictures done in December and obviously, we had a good time doing it. Ty wasn't so sure about it at first and I was doing what I could to get him to smile...including acting like an idiot. ;) But us moms gotta do what we gotta do, right? After the first few minutes, he warmed up to the idea and then there was no stopping him. He wanted the camera all to himself after that! Ty was working the camera like he was a super model. Our pictures turned out amazing. The background looks fake, but I promise that it wasn't! The weather was absolutely amazing as well, given that it was December! There was no rain or clouds or anything....just sunshine, warm air and one cute family!
